Why Bible study? Then Some Answers are Here

Bible study is very important. The Word of God should cause no one to not stop and think or hesitate. Pure Word of God should be followed. There are many more studies found in Google and Yahoo. However, the key thing is to use the one that is based on The Bible only. If the studies are not grounded on the “thus saith the Lord” then you are following false teaching. Allow the Word of God to speak for you. Another import step in studying is to pray and the Lord Jesus Christ will guide you into all truth. First Reason for Bible Study

Bible study is very important. There are many reasons why we should be engaged in Bible study.  In today’s world there are many wolves among the sheep and people need to discern them. The bible states In Matthew 7:15 “Beware of false prophets which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are raving wolves.” We simply cannot know the heart because the sheep and the wolves dress alike.

Second Reason for Bible Study

With Bible study we will discern traditions of men and false philosophers who are under disguise and are lurking for souls.  Pure Word will help us to discern them things that look like truth. False teachers and preachers are around. The son of perdition who is seeking to build distrust in God’s Word, unstable faith in God, and lead souls in the broad way.

A Little Bit of What Jesus Said is in Bible Study

“Our Savior purchased the human race by suffering the most severe humiliation…. He points us to the only path that will lead to the strait gate, opening into the narrow way, beyond which lie broad and pleasant pastures. He has marked out every step of the way; and to ensure that no one may make a mistake, He tells us just what to do. In Bible study we will under what he said to do.

How to Use Your Gift Also in Bible Study

“Take my yoke upon you and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light” (Matthew 11: 29-30}” True religion is embodied in the Word of God only.

It is the Christian’s duty not to permit surroundings and circumstances to mold him or her; but to live above surroundings, fashioning his or her character according to the divine Model.  So, if we keep our eyes single to the glory of God the wolves cannot make headway in our hearts, and the study of the Word of God is the safe barrier.

One Good Example of Gift Used

The Bibles states, “Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.” (Colossians 2:8) Although, “God has put men and women in possession of precious gifts. To each one He has given different gifts.  Every- one does not have the same strength of character or the same depth of knowledge. but each one is to use his gifts in the Master’s service however small this gift may seem to be.

Third Reason For Bible Study

The faithful steward trades wisely on the goods entrusted to him.” But, with traditions and false philosophers, men seek to undermine things that God has in place or to elevate what does not need to be elevated.  The Holy Spirit will be our teacher in studying the Bible for ourselves and not following traditions and philosophers.

Fourth Reason for Bible Study

In addition, we should study the Bible for ourselves because false teachers and false interpretations of the Bible will likewise lead us off the narrow way.  Many come with enticing words but not in the power of God. We need to be on our guard. “For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.” (2 Timothy 4:3-4)

Majority love to hear teachings and interpretations that are comforting. We do not want to hear anything that will disturb our comfort zone. The word of God breaks and heals. Hebrews 4:12 states, “For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”

Don’t Be Led Astray

There is no need to be expecting comforting sermons or teachings weekly. We need to study in order not to be led astray, and we need to hear things that will help us to make changes in our lives. The Christian pathway is a ladder of progression that leads us upward from one rung to another.

Fifth Reason for Bible Study

On a whole, we need to study the Bible for ourselves because the son of perditions is ready to weaken the things that are weak and uproot the things that are not stable. But, if we are rooted and grounded in the word of God, nothing can get us from His hands. 2 Thessalonians 2:3 states, let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there comes a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition.

Before Christ Comes

Before Christ comes important developments in the religious world, foretold in prophecy will take place. The apostle declared: “Be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.

Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there comes a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; who opposeth and exalted himself above all that is called God, or that is worshiped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.” AA 265.1

Apostle Paul Warns Against Misinterpretation

Paul’s words were not to be misinterpreted. It was not to be taught that he, by special revelation, had warned the Thessalonians of the immediate coming of Christ. Such position would cause confusion of faith. In addition disappointment often leads to unbelief. The apostle cautioned the brethren to receive no such message as coming from him. He proceeded to emphasize the fact that the papal power, so clearly described by the prophet Daniel, was yet to rise and wage war against God’s people.

Another Sign found in the Bible

The Church should not look for the coming of the Lord until this power have perform its deadly and blasphemous work. Therefore it would be in vain for the church to look for the coming of their Lord now. Paul inquired “remember you not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?”  All the above and many more are reasons why we should study the Bible and let it speak.
